Welcome to my home for Christmas 2022
This is a long post!
This year I went with more white on the Christmas tree and a new tree skirt.
Some closeups of some of my favorites and newer ornaments.
These little guys are Marc Roberts Fairies, I have 3 now!
A Christopher Radko favorite!
Love this! Another Radko ornament.
This ornament dates back to the 60's when I was kid. My mom decorated with silver and gold back then and we had changed to a white Christmas Tree. Anyway I treasure it!
For Thanksgiving we went down to be with family and the next day we visited one of my favorite gardens centers called Bordine's. They had 1/2 off on poinsettias and I got this monster gorgeous red one for $16! The santa is several years old from Pier 1, a real keeper! The nutcracker is one of two from MacKenzie Childs.
I got some battery operated candles and they even have a 6 hr. timer which is wonderful!
The white trees were from Hobby lobby and added a nice wintery feeling. I added the green cone trees from last year.
These deer were new last year as well as the small tree behind them.
The red bells came from Bordine's and they're on a stem so I just inserted them so they'd hang down.
I put this Nativity set up each year. This year I chose this small table for it.
On the cabinetry that helps divide the living and dining area I got a new lighted garland from Kirklands which help frame my display.
Santa sits proudly in his sleigh ready to deliver toys and goodies on his way!
My elf which I displayed last year. I added a couple of ornaments from the peppermint tree.
I found this one this year from Home Goods
By the door sits my entryway chest which has two new MacKenzie Childs items. The Santa I got on markdown last January and the Reindeer candelabra was new this year.
This Wall Bucket was from MacKenzie Childs this year too. I got some faux greenery to decorate it. I use a clear command hook to hang things on.
Santa was new last year (bought from Bronner's) but I relocated it on this stand near the china cabinet.
I found this talecloth at Home Goods and couldn't resist it.
These decorated trees came from Bordine's several years ago and have been on display in various spots.
This year they've joined my white stag on a velvet table runner.
The credenza that was shown in my tablescape from the other day looks especially good in the evenings!
Down below I put a puck light up above with two way tape (which my husband modified so it would be half as bright). I just have to reach under and pop it on!
This two tier piece came from Michael's. I decorated it with little trees and ginger bread house ornaments along with Mrs. Claus and an Elf.
I looked extensively at gingerbread houses and had my eyes set on one but it was $130. A quick visit to Hobby Lobby at 60% off was only $30 so I was sold. My husband put a switch on the side for me because this didn't come with a timer and you have to lift the house each time you want to turn it on and off. That made a big difference. The display stand was another find at Bordine's this year.
The pink poinsettia is also from Bordine's. It turned out to be a perfect color for this display.
My kitchen nook area. Usually just the two of us so we fit in fine.
Another MacKenzie Childs item was this truck. I wanted it lit up somehow so I staged fairy lights underneath it.
The picture in the background is a real photo of Mackinac Island of a wintery scene. No cars are allowed on the island, just horses and you can see snowmobiles too.
And lastly my little snowy white village scene (By Bethany Lowe).
Sorry for the very long post but I waited too long to divide it up. Our daughter is here from LA for two weeks so I'll be busy with her!
I want to wish you all a
Very Merry Christmas!
