BE MINE (T)

Won't you Be Mine!
I thought I'd show my table in stages as I built it...

I came across these at Home Goods on mark down.  The starry dishes are by Sara Miller London, Portmeirion Celestial Collection.  The glittery gold chargers were part of a set of 4

The "Love" dishes came from Hobby Lobby.  I accented them with a chocolate heart!  The gold rimmed stemware were also from Home Goods.  I borrowed the center glass tray from  under my cloche nearby.  My theme quickly became gold and red!

Then I brought in my "Red Velvet" Amaryllis that I've been growing for the last month for my centerpiece.
I embellished the pot with moss, three hearts on sticks and a garland made of hearts.

I had this pink rose accented pottery piece for some time.  Turns out it was just the right size for the amaryllis.

Red Velvet amaryllis is a very large and truly red flower.  Here it is nearly all opened up.

And now it's in full bloom!  Just as gorgeous as a red rose!

These are candles accented with heart graphics from Pier 1 with "Pink Champagne" as their scent.  The crystal candlesticks are also from Pier 1.

The gold and white striped candles were part of a boxed set I picked up at TJMaxx a while back.

I was going for a bit of an elegant with a flair of whimsy!

Some nighttime photos!

Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day!

  9. Liz, your intention was perfectly paired - elegance & whimsy! I adore how you took the HL plates and punctuated them with the chocolate heart. Dressing your amaryllis for the occasion is the crown jewel to the chargers and dinner plates on the table. This is such a romantic table overall, very tasteful. The amaryllis in bright red compliments your other red accents. How adorable is that pot with it's little floral accents! You have me wondering what exactly "pink champagne" smells like! I have had it to drink, but never noticed the scent! Thanks for joining us in a hop again!

The glittery gold chargers bring more bling to your table along with the glittery red heart garland. The handwritten "love" dessert plates are such an elegant touch and works so nicely with the glittery chargers. I am so curious to know how the Pink Champagne candle must smell throughout the room.
