Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a place like this to retreat to!
Well we will pretend we're inside that lovely cottage enjoying a nice home cooked meal and some good conversation.
Let's scope out the elements of this tablescape.
I was inspired at Pier 1 with these pieces for the centerpiece. They had strings on them to hang but I chose to remove them.
I had the wooden bowl from a while back and the moss.
Keeping this casual I chose the black bamboo flatware and the green colored glass tumblers. I layered a two sided placemat with the checked side up and a woven placemat. Topped with the "Lake Life" dishes by Susan Winget (Certified International). I only have the dinner plates but there is a whole set of bowls, cups, serving pieces and more available.
The napkins came from Pier 1 a year or two ago. I chose the dark metal beehive napkin rings for their color and rustic look.
I also have a fox face but couldn't get it all to fit.
Isn't that the cutest owl! I had to comb the fur away from the eyes it was so thick.

Made from recycled bottles.
Carmen enjoys being around when I'm busy. She's holding her own health wise lately.
I hope you enjoyed your visit at the cabin!
I'll be joining:

DeleteVery sweet table Liz. Those plates are darling. I think we could all enjoy a getaway to the cabin. Your table has lots of texture. The Pier1 critters are so cute together. Caramel looks quite content there. Have a great weekend.

DeleteLiz, what a fabulous table you have presented. The centerpiece is too cute and what a fun idea. The plates really speak to me and yes, a getaway to a cabin in the woods sounds ideal. I just love it all and Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh!!! Lake life! We used to go when I was young. I didn’t appreciate it then the way I would now. Back then it was seen as a great inconvenience to my busy social life! If it keeps raining like it has been here since Friday, I’ll be IN a lake!!!!!!!!!! Our back yard is a swamp right now!🏊🏽♀️ I really , really, REALLY like those dinner plates!!! You scored big when you found those! Just looking at the cabin scene depicted on them lowers my blood pressure by several points! Cool how you arranged the centerpiece, too! Pier 1 just has such neat stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t that how it always is- we don’t appreciate things until later when we realize how special it was! Too bad about all the rain. We’ve gotten a lot too but we’re fairly sandy here so it just percolates through quickly!
DeleteLiz, what a gorgeous fall table! Those plates are gorgeous and have such wonderful color. The centerpiece you created is adorable! Happy Autumn!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shannon!
