As Valentine's Day is drawing near romantic tablescapes come to mind. I created a rustic romantic tablescape using my green lantern, antlers and pine cones.
I chose mirrors to create the feeling of cool icy water and reflection...
Pine cone salt and pepper shakers just seemed fitting. Found them at T.J.Maxx long ago.
Sorry for the background editing...I'm prepped for Valentine's Day on the plate rack but didn't want it to show yet)
A full bodied bottle of wine to compliment the short ribs dinner recipe I found
at Williams Sonoma "here".
This tablescape was inspired in part because of the new dish I bought with the deer and the wood candle holder. I imagined using these in the rustic green lantern (that I've used before as shown "here"). Using sprigs from a faux pine branch and natural acorn pieces help naturalize the look.
These dishes by Park Designs were found locally and are perfect for a setting like this. The napkins came from the same store and are also by Park Designs- called Walk In The Woods). Though I've had the dishes a while they are still available- in fact there are other coordinating pieces now for it including one with a moose!
Napkin rings from Pier 1 (a year ago) help pinch the napkin together making it look a bit like a bow tie.
The green stemware from Pier 1 (from a while back) worked well for the theme and chosen wine.

This is very pretty, Liz. I really love the lantern in the middle.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. The lantern is a great centerpiece and those mirrors are wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteRustic, not too feminine. I like the shape of the green plate and that the top plate has elements of a letter. Very nice. The square chargers and the plaid napkins are fun.
ReplyDeleteOh Liz pretty once again. I think you should chronicle all these table scapes into a book. You have such a knack at making a pretty table setting. Happy New Week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Kris
Liz, Liz, Liz. Beautiful!!! It’s wintry without being Christmas-y, intimate, and totally hits the mark! IF I were in the market for new dishes (which I’d better not be if I want to live!), these would definitely make the short list. Getting a winter feel isn’t always so easy, but you make it look that way!
ReplyDeleteSo romantic, Liz. A beautiful table for two set with your lovely pieces. I really like the green lantern centerpiece-so nice. I hope you and Dan enjoy the wine together! ♥
ReplyDeleteWhat a great theme and you carried it out beautifully! Thank you for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story and we hope you will join us again next week.
ReplyDeleteWonderful winter woodland setting Liz, it's so cozy and inviting! Fun pine cone salt and peppers!

ReplyDeleteLOVE the whole table, Liz! I love those dishes and am thinking about getting some. In my defense, I am giving away a whole set of dishes to a young girl who is just getting her first house;) Love how you did the lantern too. Sounds like a wonderful menu too!
