Thanksgiving Dining Table Arrangement

I put away Halloween quickly and moved right into Thanksgiving.  I don't have a lot for this Holiday but I always put something out for Thanksgiving.

I feel like Thanksgiving gets short changed with Christmas being pushed forefront at the retail level so I always make sure to stay true to the Holiday by embracing it in my home.

I started with a runner that I've had a few years that has embroidered leaves on it in traditional fall colors.

I laid out a fall garland bending and forming it to fit around the turkey.

This turkey was new to me last year.  He's fancy on both sides.  This year I noticed they are offering a much smaller version of it as well as this larger one. (MacKenzie Childs)  The gold pumpkins and gourds came from Pottery Barn.

The Indian statues came from Hobby Lobby several years ago.  I noticed they carry them each year or something very similar.

The sun was a welcome sight so I hurried along to take pictures while it lasted.

I added some pumpkins and gourds to represent the harvest.

This garland is a really nice mixture and very pliable.  I found this in Gaylord when we visited there a few weeks ago.

Rich warm harvest colors- they represent this time of the year so perfectly.

I will incorporate a tablescape with this soon!

  2. I love that big turkey, Liz. You table looks beautiful. I like to celebrate one holiday at a time, too, and I never decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving is over. It's coming up fast though, isn't it? xo Diana

  3. Your dinner table vignette for Tksgiving is stunning my friend. I do love, love your M.CH. turkey; it's awesome! Maybe cause it's so big, it's perfect.
Yes, I too feel the same way as you. I always remember growing up we had all C'mas by now and Tksgiving was practically only the food and the brown dishes at home and now for the girls and grandgirls it looks all C'masy too, lol..

  5. Your table is so pretty. I don't have much fall/harvest/thanksgiving related decor. I am inspired to try to cobble together some of what I do have that might have a fallish feel to it. Perhaps some burlap and wood. This summer I picked up some a couple of fabrics, one a print and one a moss green, either of which might work. Thanks for the inspiration!

  6. Hi Liz, what a beautiful setting for Thanksgiving. Love your turkey. He takes center stage on your table and is stunning. I try and do a few items for Thanksgiving carried over from a harvest look since I don't do much Halloween decorating. I'm glad Thanksgiving get's it's due. We seem to go right into Christmas quicker every year.
I really like to begin the day after Thanksgiving with the Christmas decor if possible and have the time. Your home is gorgeous! Have a great weekend ahead. xo

  10. Liz,
    This is exquisite, dear friend!
Once our sons were out of grammar school, I did away with Thanksgiving decor.
Since we alternate Thanksgiving and Christmas with our son and daughter~in~law,
I just concentrate on fixing the meal!
    I love your Turkey!
    Fondly,
    Pat
