Famously known (haha) as the Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie
Yep that's all it is! We primarily use the Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce and I found it added a flavor to this simple and basic recipe. I'm sure any basic barbecue sauce will work.
After browning the ground beef and putting it in the pie dish I squirt a layer of barbecue sauce over the top.
It was delicious and the salad we had added a good balance to it. I like quick easy recipes not too full of ingredients that it takes a lot of effort to put together- especially on a weeknight.
Looks like a lovely dish for dinner. Easy and so good. It does look similar to a quiche. Adding a salad makes it a nice balanced meal.
ReplyDeleteLiz...I sent this recipe to my bachelor son who is trying to cook more. I used to make the Impossible Bisquick ham and Swiss pie, aka quiche, when the kids were home. I had forgotten about that. I love Bisquick...makes things easy. Sheila
ReplyDeleteOh this sounds good.
ReplyDeleteOh Liz, I like your addition of the Sweet Baby Ray's. That would certainly be a hit around here. And with the extra cheese that makes it a winner. I have a little Bisquick in the pantry and I will try this lovely dish. ♥
ReplyDeleteOH my, that looks delicious and I'm sure it is! It one I must try!!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Nancy
