As I peer out my window I can see my lilac topiary tree full of lilac buds that aren't quite ready to open.
I thought I would put together some pictures from previous posts with lilacs.
This was my "Lilac Inspired" tablescape from May 20, 2015

In March of 2014 I posted this "Purple Profusion" tablescape. I was dreaming of spring early because of a particularly grueling winter and I needed something to inspire me!

In late May of 2013 I posted this "Cottage Garden Inspired"tablescape
I got these from our visit to the family farm my husband grew up on.
Ahh…. I love the smell of lilacs!

Last June when my lilacs were actually blooming I did a "Flower Power Luncheon" tablescape. I hope mine will be blooming before June since it was a milder winter up here.
I can hardly wait to have these beauties blooming in my garden again!
Thanks for going down my Lilac Memory Lane with me!
I will be joining:
I used lilacs again and again for my tablescapes in the past month or so. Sadly, mine are grocery store offerings, and as beautiful as they were, they can't compare to your glorious garden lilacs. I do love lilacs so much. Your tablescapes are each and everyone beautiful and so well designed. I think that if the good Lord looked kindly on coveting, I'd covet those blue and white striped napkins. They really caught my eye! Thanks for inviting us to sit at your tables. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteLiz, what gorgeous tablescapes! Each one has many details that are just beautiful! I can't choose a favorite, love them all! Great post!

Such a beautiful tablescape. Love your flowers, they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLilacs perhaps have the most heavenly scent of all the spring flowering shrubs. Liz, your tables are lovely. My grandmother's lilacs are in my garden now and sadly they did not bloom this year. I'm afraid we don't have enough sun to enable them to bloom. I hope your's bloom soon. ♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the bouquet in the vase...top pic. Gorgeous. sheila
ReplyDeleteLiz, I do love lilacs too and the scent is the absolute best! My large purple lilac bush gave it up a few years ago, but my white lilac looks like it may bloom this year! The weather has been so cool except for one early heat wave so the flowering trees and bushes are confused. Lilac memories are wonderful! Linda
ReplyDeleteLilacs are blooming here right now and I love their scent - sure sign of spring! Your tablescapes are all so lovely and you've used lilacs wonderfully in your centerpieces. I especially like the look of the single lilac branch in the tall clear glass vase with the bees on it. So many pretty dishes too! Hope you have great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow - lovely settings!! I especially enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful floral arrangements!! Your lavender napkins are such a pretty color. I am also anxious for my lilacs to bloom - nothing says "spring" like the scent of lilacs!!
ReplyDeleteHi Liz! Gorgeous table! I love lilacs and hope mine bloom soon.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tables Liz! I can almost smell the Lilacs! Have a wonderful weekend! xxx Maria
ReplyDeleteI love lilacs, too, and the settings you set with them are gorgeous! Do you remember the name of the dishes from your 2013 table? I love those dishes! Zenda
ReplyDeleteVery pretty tablescapes featuring lilacs. Love the fragrance. It is always fun to go back and re-visit some posts we have forgotten all about. So glad you shared these lovely tablescapes again.
ReplyDeleteLiz.
ReplyDeleteSo very, very pretty and oh the Lilacs. How I wish that we could grow them here.
Your table setting is so lovely, my dear.
Thank you for sharing this with us at TOHOT.

Beautiful lilac tablescapes Liz. Nice to review those from the past too. The fragrance is lovely but a bit too much for me with allergies to bring inside. I don't have a lilac bush at my Kentucky home so I am just enjoying your tables.
ReplyDeleteLilac was my wedding color Liz and I just adore it! Beautiful tablescapes. Thank you so much for linking up to Thoughts of Home on Thursday. You make our gathering a happier place.
