When your lilacs are blooming!
I know many of you are past this point but it's our time for lilacs and it's such a joy to see!
The fragrance drifts and draws you to it. I just want to stand there and bathe my nose in it!
For me today....happiness is....lilacs!
I've pretty well finished with my fairy garden which I'll show later this week.
Right now I'm just taking in this moment....
Beautiful lilacs Liz. They do have such a fragrant smell. I love them outdoors but once tried to bring some in for a tablescape. Wow, it was too strong for me. Had to take some quick pictures and move them to the deck. At my last house I had three lilac bushes but none at this house. Thanks for sharing your lilacs and your happiness.

DeleteBonjour chère amie,
ReplyDeleteLe lilas embaume encore en ce moment mon jardin... Quel bonheur que de profiter du vôtre grâce à vos sublimes photos...
Gros bisous ♡
Amazing photos! I can almost smell their aroma!
ReplyDeleteYour gardens are lovely Liz... you have a lot of shade and I was just outside, realizing that is becoming the case here as well.... in regard to your question on my blog post..."without a doubt, the only good time to move peonies is in the fall... I like September... fall is when peonies make new roots.... if you divide, be careful not to plant the eyes on herbaceous peonies more than an inch below soil level.... too deep and they aren't as likely to bloom well.... also it may take a couple years for the plant to reestablish after a move... as much sun as possible is highly recommended... hope this helps.." ReplyDeleteHi Liz, your garden just makes me happy looking at the photos, I can't imagine it in person. Love your lilac bush. It reminds me of the gorgeous lilacs my mother used to grow. The scent must be incredible. Thanks for sharing. xo
