Valentine's LOVE on the Plate Rack

I don't usually decorate for Valentine's Day but somehow this year I felt like giving it  a try.  I've seen several bloggers do some real cute things that inspired me.

Still using my little faux cedar trees.  I re-used these glittery red hearts that I first showed on a little topiary I made up and showed on my Valentine Sweetness tablescape as seen "here"

The sun made an appearance which added to the LOVE.

I kept the dinner plates up here as seen "here" which make a good backdrop for the salad plates.

I wanted something confectionery feeling so I layered pink and red together.  The Ruby red Mosser glass plates enhanced the design and color of the pink rose plates that were gifted to me by my Mom.  I used them in my first blog tablescape as seen "here".

Simple but just enough for me!

Some of you may remember the Love marquee sign I found at T.J.'s and posted back in mid December as seen "here".  There is a battery back for them and it even has a timer so they'll come on for 4 hrs each day.  These new LED lights are so much easier on batteries- gotta LOVE that!

  3. LOVE-ly! Those red hearts look perfect on your little cedar trees (I always thought those were real!) and the plates just pop against the terrific black backdrop. Your LED sign is the icing on the cake!

  4. Your Love sign is so cute and perfect for Valentine's Day, nice that it has LED lights. Yes, your hearts are great on the cedar trees. Not sure if I'll get any Valentine's out this year with the remodeling going on.

  8. You've inspired me! I have the same type of tree just sitting on my buffet in the kitchen. I should heart it. Ha! I adore your plates. Confectionery is the right term for sure! They remind me of lacy cookies. You're all set for Valentine's. Lovely to see your Love light shining brightly!

  17. Liz, I saw your feature and had to hop on over here to see your plate rack. I love how you layered the two plates and the LOVE sign is just perfect on the bottom. Did you make your plate rack or did you purchase it because I'm thinking that I'd love to squeeze one into my kitchen!!!
