Well once again it's snowing- another stay inside day.
So what can you do? Dust, vacuum and of course move furniture! That's what we all do- right?
And now ...
Guess what's on tv? Groundhog Day appropriately! Well I can assure you we'll have 6 more weeks of winter here no matter what the groundhog predicts!
My view rocking in my red chair...
This Angelic piece is taking center stage on the coffee table. (Pier One)
She's a Garden Angel holding a little bird. I think she needs some greens below her. Another thing to find.
During my purging I found this vase hidden away so I decided to try it on the mantel. If you remember I was looking for a third item to set there.
Not too bad- It'll do for now! I still need some books to go there. Gotta find just what I want.
Making the best of being stuck indoors! The fire warms the room up and it's cozy in here!
He did not see his shadow which is supposed to mean early spring is forecasted!
Hope you're enjoying this Groundhog Day!

Happy Ground Hog Day. My, that's a lot of snow. Makes me cold, just looking at it. I know you are always re-arranging your furniture. We are stuck with our arrangement, since our pieces are so large.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty and inviting room. Warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, looks fantastic. Love your home and changes. Such a cozy and inviting room to enjoy when it's snowing outside. I agree, winter's not over yet, but it does feel like spring may arrive early here.
ReplyDeleteLike how your whited out your google friends connect counter. How did you do that or is it a glitch?
Have a great rest of the week. ;)

I use to move my furniture around quite a bit. Not able to do that much in this home. I switch up chairs and tables now and then, but placemat can't be changed much. Love your garden angel! You'll have her looking just grand, this I know! Stay warm my friend!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I just saw that little garden angel a couple of days ago in a shot. Love your new furniture arrangements.
ReplyDeleteLiz, Once more our area got lucky...the snow was north and the rain mostly went south. The sun was out this morning...but it's cloudy now and windy. Glad you found things to keep busy. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteAny way you choose to move your furniture around, Liz, this room will always be cozy and inviting. I love your mantel and especially the framed painting.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
Hugs,
Poppy
Love the change, Liz! It looks so cozy and friendly. There's something about walking into a room with the sofa beside the fireplace instead of in front of it that looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a cozy spot to enjoy the winter white Liz! I love to move things around, it makes cleaning fun- Your angel is striking on the coffee table. I saw some similar pieces at Hobby Lobby and wondered how to use them, so different and pretty! I can't imagine all that snow, but I do love an excuse to stay home and "play" all day!

Liz,
ReplyDeleteBeing a former employee of our School District, Snow Day was always furniture moving day!!! Also, a great day to bake something in the oven for dinner!!!
Gorgeous furniture arrangement, dear friend!!!
I adore your new Angel from Pier 1!!!
The shiny vase is a good accessory on the mantel, too!!!
We still have had NO Snow here on the Prairie!!!
Fondly,
Pat

ReplyDeleteI like either one of the arrangement Liz! I wish I could move my sofa too but the position of my TV forbids me to do so! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteYour living room is so beautiful and warm. I agree with you about we will have six more weeks of winter here. I also live in the same town you do. I love that your from this area too.
ReplyDeleteSnow day! As a teacher I kind of liked a snow day once or twice. But early in my teaching we were out for 6 weeks. Horrible winter back in the 70s. Your room looks warm and cozy for some tv watching. Sheila
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, snowy here too! You made very good use of your snow day. I made soup and shoveled, that was it! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI like how your furniture arrangement turned out, it's fun to switch it up now and then. I rearranged the family room before Christmas and everyone thought we had new furniture! Ha!! What a cool trick! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteLiz, your photo of the snow is gorgeous. I love your sprucing and the new furniture arrangement. Your fireplace looks so cozy and inviting. We had about 1" of snow today. I didn't think it would stick, but somehow it did. And to think that I was in a t-shirt and Leggings yesterday. Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteLiz, your room is so welcoming and cozy for these winter days in Michigan! And the new arrangement makes it feel fresh and new. Everyone else is talking about Spring, but we know it will be a while for us. Enjoy your beautiful fireplace!

ReplyDeleteYour home looks lovely- and warm!
Liz that angel cloche is just stunning! You made me laugh with the Groundhog Day references. Can you believe that I have never seen that film? I must remedy that ASAP.
