I've been contacted by people at different times asking where I got my big white rooster. Unfortunately it was bought several years ago at Cracker Barrel on clearance and isn't something they offer anymore.
As it turns out finding a larger white rooster statue isn't all that easy.
I stumbled across this rooster below while visitng Dillard's web page.
It's called Fitz and Floyd Bristol Rooster Figurine. I googled it and several websites popped up. Your best value is through Bed Bath & Beyond if you use your discount coupon plus you'll get free shipping because it's over $49.
Here is a link to their page "here". It's part of the "Bristol Indigo Tartan" collection.
This is a much more pricey one than mine but it's the first large white rooster I've come across. It has finer details than mine too.
If you ever wanted one of these large white roosters I wouldn't wait too long on getting this. I'm not earning anything by sharing this- I just wanted to let others know.
This is from a previous post.
I first got the idea to have a large white rooster when I read through this book by Bunny Williams. When I first saw it at cracker Barrel I hesitated. Then it disappeared and I was bummed but actually had been moved to the clearance section. I lucked out on this one!
This prompted me to do a little vignette on the small wood top bar by the kitchen.
The height of the F&F is about the same as mine but the overall width is larger mainly because the tail on mine is positioned high up.
I used an April Cornell napkin that I had on hand to tie the grouping together and to add some country charm!
This cute little standing chalkboard metal sign came from Terrain.com but it's no longer available.
I googled it and found it "here" on mark down. My daughter did a quick doodle on it for me. The sunflower pitcher is something I showed before on my blog "here"
Wishing you a great weekend!
I love your rooster. I can't have many bird like things at home as my dear daughter has a bird phobia that won't go away...
ReplyDeleteBut I would love a piece like this one. It is so beautiful and elegant it might cure her ahahahah
It speaks volumes of don't let go a statement piece - even if you don't know what you need it for - when you find one.
Fall is really entering your Home. Go Liz! ;)
I do like the rooster. My daughter collects roosters, but I don't think she has a white one. And my other daughter would really like the sunflower pitcher.
ReplyDeleteYour rooster is stunning. It's so nice you researched it to help people find one similar. Your sunflower pitcher is lovely. Such a pretty vignette.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteAmazing Autumnal vignette!!!
I am quite smitten with your Sunflower print and the pitcher!!!
Thanks for sharing and inspiring!!!
Fondly,
Pat
Hi Liz, love your white rooster and how you have showcased it for fall. I wanted a collection of white roosters so I painted mine a few years ago, and it took time, but gave me the look I was going for.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pitcher. Happy Weekend, cm
Liz,
ReplyDeleteYour white rooster is truly stunning. I am enjoying your Fall Vignette, you have such a natural gift for creating inspiring table settings and vignettes and more! I have a Rooster collection as well, that is packed away-in fact I nearly forgot I had one!
Have a lovely weekend,
Jemma
I love your white rooster. I have some large colorful ones...and keep meaning to make a tablescape with them. Thanks for the nudge.

I'll agree that yes, you did luck out on that beautiful rooster! It is gorgeous, and so is the one you provided a link for. I have a large colorful one, so that will have to do. With so many roosters, I dare not add another!! Your changes are coming along nicely. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your rooster, Liz. I have a much smaller white rooster and plan to use it after Christmas. I also love that sunflower pitcher!
ReplyDeleteI'm lucky to have a CB close by my house and I love all the treasures I find there, especially on the clearance aisle! I hope they bring this one back soon!
