I felt it was time to re-do the basket on the front door.
I wanted to re-do the door basket and I decided to go with a red white and blue theme. I lucked out with a little bargain shopping at Michaels for the flowers.
There is only 4 inches between this door and the storm/screen door so I have to keep all this very flat as I design it. The bow was a ready made one from Michaels. I liked the burlap with the white chevron design and it works well with the basket.

There were only three of these red geranium plants which ended up working out fine and the daisies spoke to me! Pick me ... pick me!!
There were only 2 of the deep blue Larkspur but I couldn't resist their color so I grabbed them up. I was smiten with their striking blue shade.
My favorite find at another store....
I wired it to the bow

Beautiful flower arrangement, Liz, very welcoming!...Christine
ReplyDeleteLove your cheerful floral wreath. We don't have a screen door so I can't hang a wreath on our door or the dang birds build a nest in it. Last time I tried, we opened the door and two birds flew into the house. You can imagine the chase!
ReplyDeleteLiz, your arrangement looks so pretty! I haven't hung anything yet. I noticed the birds hovering around a few weeks ago; and decided to wait until they seemed to have moved on. I guess I can start making something now. You've inspired me.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely arrangement.

A very pretty and patriotic bouquet for your front door, Liz! The ribbon looks perfect, as a finishing touch, paying your respects to your beloved country, it's heroes and its citizens! Thanks for sharing!
