It's Fiesta Time!
Bold and cheerful colors heighten the spirit of celebration!
I laid the napkin under the plate horizontally to pop in some more design to the setting.
No sun today so I framed the pictures in yellow!
Did you know- Some people think that this day celebrates Mexico's Independence day but this holiday actually commemorates the Mexican army’s defeat of the French in the
Battle of Puebla in 1862, after which the heavily outnumbered Mexican
forces’ victory over the well-equipped French invaders came to symbolize
national unity and strength.

ReplyDeleteHi Liz, Your table is so happy! I always love your tables! It's great for Cinco but those parrots also remind me SO MUCH of the Tiki Room at Disney World, one of my favorite attractions there! I hope you have seen or get to see it if you love tropical birds like I do! Have a great day. Linda
ReplyDeletePerfection! What a beautiful tablescape. I love your plates and the way you placed the napkin. Such a fun tablescape!

Those bird plates are fabulous! They remind me of the Tiki Room at Disneyland where they are all singing. We had a huge Cinco de Mayo party here and it was a lot of fun with food and music and pinatas! So fun. Our friends in Cabo said that Mexicans don't even celebrate it so they think it is funny that we do - but what is not to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day!
Love all the colors and those parrots are just adorable! Perfect for this colorful celebration!
ReplyDeleteI love the parrot plates, they really bring a very festive look for a perfect Cinco De Mayo table. Love the flatware too.
