Vignette Tweaking on the Coffee Table

I usually keep the tray off to the side and either a magazine or object sits in the open area.  The bowl with the orbs is setting on the fireplace hearth now by a candlestick.

For Easter I centered tray on the glass and added my cast iron urn to it.

I put my decorative cream and green balls back in the jar, added my little books back and added my elephant paperweight.

It's an older piece from Bombay.

I swapped out the greens in the urn too

I found these two skinny book boxes at Hobby Lobby  so I changed out the stack here and added my magnifying lens to it that used to be on the coffee table.

I layered this nice runner I found on clearance at a little specialty shop when we went to Petoskey on my birthday.  I like how the color picks up on the urn.

My little glass box has moved around a lot too.

The little marble lidded jar has been in a few spots around the room.  I never tried it by the lamp before and I do like them together.  The planter was from last year and I've finally decided I like the philodendron in it.

I keep the white runner on here all the time.  I think it pulls the look together the best for my decorative items.  Sometimes I add another runner on top for color or seasonal events.

So that's my weekly vignette and a tweak on the wood cabinetry!

I'm so excited- I did get my lamps for the room.  One I found at the store and the other is coming on special order.  They aren't the one I showed in my post about the living room as shown "here" but they met the criteria and I'm delighted with them.  I'll save that for when the 2nd one arrives!

  5. Liz,
I am partial to elephants myself and that was one of the first items I spied and then I thought to myself-maybe from Bombay and it was, I so miss that store. It was easy to shop and seems it fit my style. Love your vignettes and oh the magnifying is such a winner!

  7. Beautiful vignettes, Liz! I love the runner on the walnut finish, they really complement each other. I think we just may have the same crystal/glass vase! Mine was given to all our guests at our wedding.

Happy weekend and thanks for sharing!
