This day the softly lit snow just seemed graceful...
From the bedroom window you can see the pattered footprints from the birds and squirrels that lead to and surround the bird feeder station. The sun is there but the wintry sky is acting as a filter today.
We've had a tough week temperature wise which I'm sure a lot of you've also had. I awoke to -22 (F) degrees a few days ago and that's not a wind chill factor- that's straight up.
Glistening snow fluffed on every surface…the colder it is the more it sparkles!
Patiently waiting for spring!

It has been brutally cold here too. But today is a wonderful day, started out at -8 Celsius and is now at +2 Celsius in the sun trapped areas. Cant wait for spring :)
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, but gosh, that cold! I hope that you can stay warm and safe. xx
ReplyDeleteLiz, I love your snow pictures. The little birds and animals need us to help them find food at times. You are right, we have had bitter cold days. I am grateful for the sunshine...it makes it not seem as cold. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are patient, Liz. I am losing patience with this cold, cold weather. ugh...so ready for some sunshine that actually warms the air. Pretty pictures, though! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteWow, I'll take our mild weather over those temps any day. Brrrr. So pretty, though.
ReplyDeletejoli, mais je préfère le printemps :-)
ReplyDeleteYour snowy images are lovely. I enjoy seeing the footprints of the critters. Lovely --- except too darn cold!
ReplyDeleteFrighteningly low temperatures. I hope your plants survive.
ReplyDeleteLiz, your snow pictures are so pretty! I can't imagine temps that cold! When we hit the 20's, we feel like we are in a Tundra! Hopefully, warmer temps will be on the way soon!
ReplyDeleteLike Diana, I am losing patience with the cold. Just now the oil delivery arrived, and another 700 up in smoke, lol! Just paid last month's bill. Oh well, thankful my pipes didn't freeze, so many neighbors have had that problem, and it is a costly mess! Stay warm , Liz! Bought myself 3 primrose plants for the window sill to cheer me! :)
ReplyDeleteSo many of my blogger friends are suffering from cabin fever after all the heavy snow falls, I do hope that green shoots and sunshine are heading your way soon.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful wintry photos, Liz!
ReplyDeleteI was going to write that I'm very much looking forward to seeing how these views look in summer. But actually I already see a little bit: The angel is the same one as in your truly gorgeous header photo!
Everybody would love to sit with you in your garden!
Your patience will be rewarded and Spring will be much the sweeter for it. The snowy landscape is beautiful and leaves us Southeners longing for a bit of it. Stay cozy and warm. Smiles...Susan
ReplyDeletePretty photos! We may get a little more snow tomorrow but I hope not.
ReplyDeleteVery, VERY pretty!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I've been noticing rabbit tracks, now and again, by my house. I guess the rabbit hasn't noticed that I don't live in a forest.

Your garden looks like a snow covered fairyland!
ReplyDeleteI live in Georgia and we don't get very severe winter weather. However, two weeks ago we had an ice storm and were without power for 50 hours! Your snow is pretty but those frigid temps would be hard for me to handle.
