Well I didn't start out thinking about roosters crowing in the morning but I ended up there just because of a picture!
My thoughts were actually just about the window and my fall decorating.
It's just a wee bit of decorating which I enjoy since I can stare at it while doing those daily tasks at the kitchen sink!
I found this textured pumpkin at Hobby Lobby and I stuck a little bird on the top with some moss.
Right next to it I've set a couple of glass bottles. The green bottle was another T.J. Maxx find and the honey bottle is a replica of an antique bottle that I picked up last year from a local bee farm. (This is actually water I treated with food coloring)
As you can see it's early morning and the sun is starting to peek through the trees out back. We had our first frost last night although it showed on the rooftops my
yard is insulated because of the trees so it didn't get to the plants
yet.
Stepping back for a full window shot is when I realized the rooster looked like it was crowing at mornings light!
Cock-a-doodle doo!
Enjoy your fall day!

Your window area is perfect! I like little touches here and there. The bottle with colored water in it is pretty brilliant.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkin bucket is perfect.

No wonder the rooster is crowing. He's acknowledgeing the beauty outside the window.
ReplyDeleteThe rooster looks great there by your window. He does look like he is crowing. Touches of fall look-out the house is warm and cozy. I can't believe you have frost already.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Liz. Thanks for sharing...Christine
ReplyDeleteYour rooster is a perfect wake-up call (the silent type). Your Fall decorations are pretty and fun. I love the bird nesting idea. I'll bet the frost was beautiful!

Love that rooster against the background of the window..it is as if he is crowing outside to begin the start to a new day!...very pretty Liz!
ReplyDeleteFrost. That's the problem with October here in the North. I love your decorations, though! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a GREAT shot of that "crowing rooster", Liz. I love the warmth of that whole kitchen window setting. That made me think of something my mother used to say. "Whistling girls and crowing hens will surely come to some bad ends"....lol Yes-I whistled as a kid! lol xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Liz! Love the textured pumpkin with the bird on top. The vintage style honey bottle is perfect for Fall...love how the light shines through it.
ReplyDeleteI love the silhouette of your rooster in the window with the pretty green in the background Liz! Your honey bottle is too cute :)
ReplyDeleteThat really DOES look like there is a rooster outside crowing his little heart out!!! That's cool! It's as if he just landed on the window sill for his morning routine!
ReplyDeleteI understand about wanting something pretty to look at as you go about your daily chores. Since you enjoy changing things up regularly, I'm sure you CAN'T get bored with it!!! :-)
