Time for the hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, lemonade, apple pie and fireworks!!
Welcome
My garden planters create a framed entryway to the dining area
Flags are waving
I've turned the chairs so you can see-
let's move in...
Star Spangled
The five part star banner parades through the middle. I've placed my clay pots, uncle Sam and an adirondack styled chair for the center arrangement which can be removed easily to make way for the food.
Uncle Sam proudly waves his flag
The Star Spangled clay pots I created and posted about "here"
The little glasses can serve a before dinner drink
There are some white petunias in this planter but they not blooming today!
I forgot to get the other cushions out! It's been raining here so much lately we've had to put them in the garage.
I like how these look like fireworks are shooting out!
I couldn't resist the classic look of these red and white gingham print placemats.
I chose a basic red tablecloth to showcase all the elements on the table.
Sparkly napkin rings with a flag clutching the napkins
Let's gather and enjoy the day and take a moment to remember the brave who've fought
for our Country's freedom...
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave
I hope you have a great 4th of July however you spend it!

I love those napkin rings; they're so unique, and the gingham placemats are terrific (I love gingham in the summertime). :) Your banner looks perfect as a centerpiece on top of the red tablecloth. ReplyDeleteHi, Liz! You guys have such a generously proportioned deck. I'm so glad that's where we're eating today!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you did those napkins! The napkin ring looks very much like a sparkler! Really fun! The napkins themselves are great, too. They look like they could sop up a lot of chin mustard! :-) (Am I the only one that happens to?)
The "bombs bursting in air" pots you made really look right at home on your table. Score!
Now let's talk about that runner, little missy! WOW!!! WOW!!! I love it! The buttons are so slick! What a cool way to anchor your centerpiece!!! And your choice of placemats...right on! Red & white gingham is quintessential picnic/summer party, and they look great. You did a wonderful job of playing with different patterns!
