I used a vine wreath/candle ring with leaves and berries at the base of the candle holder, along with some green excelsior to give the cage a bit of a woodland look.
She's a little plump for the nest but we won't tell her!
The sweet little bird plates have been with me a while from Macys.
Underneath are the plates from Cracker Barrel that I've used before
(which have no name on them) to add a little texture along with the rattan mats.

I folded the napkins into a triangle, rolled them and tied them loosely around the stem of the glass. I chose them because they pulled on all the colors of the table.
I try to get pictures when the sun is shining in.
I liked that both these plates have an wavy edge which helped them look
good together.

Love that birdcage! And the curves of the plates look lovely together. Glad the snow is finally gone for you. Here's to that first meal on the deck! xoKathleen
ReplyDeleteYou want to know how adorable that plump little blue bird is....well if it ever turns up missing? It wasn't me! Who knew cracker barrel had pretty dishes like that? I sure didn't....
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous table, love the light streaming on it.
The center piece is awesome, love that bird cage.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness Liz, what a fabulous little fat bluebird in your fabulously perfect birdcage! It is such a great size and shape for your round table~and your plates! they are so different! It's all very brilliant!
ReplyDeleteJenna
So glad spring is finally heading your way. Your table would be wonderful outside and from the looks of it, it won't be too long. The bird cage is so cute. I really love the bird plates. Dianne
ReplyDeleteThe blue bird is adorable..and a great centerpiece to serve those gorgeous bird plates....so happy that the snow is melting and Spring is on its way!!!..
ReplyDeleteLove the blues! The bird plates are so sweet. Great centerpiece. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the birdcage and it's charming inhabitant. The bird plates from Macy's are gorgeous. Beautiful Spring table to celebrate the melting of the snow (I didn't think it would ever melt away this year).
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Spring is finally arriving, Liz, and you have your own special birdie as a centerpiece. What a cute idea that is! Your layers of plates are so pretty and those stemware.. what a find! I love how you tied the napkin, too.
ReplyDeleteI bought those glasses a few months ago, some at TJMaxx, some at Cmas Tree Shop. Forgot all about them!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely table! I am amazed at all the beautiful bird dishes I am seeing tonight! Yours are so pretty. I love your "suet challenged" bird in the cage too, and the sunlight streaming in lovely!
Thanks so much for taking the challenge, Liz!
Liz, you did it again! A beautiful table and so interesting! Love your birdcage and so happy for you on having the sun.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely table, Liz...I love anything with a blue and green combo. The bird plates are really darling. Isn't it wonderful that spring may have finally arrived? We even have lots of green in the yard, after what seemed like an endless supply of brown!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
The centerpiece is so pretty and I love the bird plates, Liz...Christine
ReplyDeleteGracious, you still have some snow! It is pretty but I know you are weary of the cold.
ReplyDeleteLiz, I love your plates. They are so pretty and the first thing I noticed was the neat way you tied the napkin around the goblet. So attractive! Your bird catch is stunning as your centerpiece. You always have great ideas.
Those are truly some of the most beautiful plates I have ever seen with birds on them! I don't know what that is called the way they did the "frosting" in blue, but it is such a cool effect!!! It really gives the bird a loftier look, too.
ReplyDeleteThe napkin around the base of the glass is a really neat idea! It gives this a really fresh look, especially for Spring or Summer. It's like a cowboy wearing a bandana!
I am really, really glad the snow is making an exit. You have put up with much more snow than I could ever even begin to fathom. It's nice that you're seeing surfaces now. Maybe soon you'll see little heads poking up from the earth. Let's hope! Our daffodils are in full bloom now, as is our star magnolia. Ramon killed my grape hyacinth last year. Surprised he's still alive? Me, too! :-)
Enjoyed it!
Hi Liz, Your plump momma bird is just so cute sitting on her nest, waiting for her eggs to hatch. The dishes are so pretty. I was just looking at white dishes in Cracker Barrel, thinking how pretty they were, but Mr. was with me, so the dishes stayed there. Maybe next week... Linda
ReplyDeleteLove your plump bird, the beautiful bird plates, gorgeous stemware, and drooling over your flatware, looking for something like that myself.
ReplyDeletewonderful table!
Your table would be fab outdoors!! I adore those plates!!❤❤
ReplyDeletePretty plates and details, Liz. I envy the way the sunshine streams in across your table. Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteLovely table, Liz! The birdcage adds a wonderful element of drama AND whimsy. Love those pretty bird plates, and the napkin arrangement is clever! It adds color without competing with the plates.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful plates...love your centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteI love your sweet bird plates with their scalloped edges Liz! I know you're glad the sun is shining and snow is finally beginning to melt :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Love the plates and that bird cage! So special! I'm so happy your snow is melting and I hope you see plants peeking up through the ground SOON! It lifts the spirit almost as much as these bird plates!! Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty blue bird plates. They are truly beautiful and vivid. The bird cage is darling and so different. Those glasses are very unique. I just love them for their color and shape. All you need now is the dessert compotes. So happy Spring is making it's way to you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table! I have glasses like yours and used them in my tablescape also. The bird plates are so pretty!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your sweet little bird plates and your "blue bird of happiness" tablescape. The bird cage is such a nice tall size and gives a great look without taking up a lot of room on the table..(.I have that problem) Glad your snow is melting and you'll be able to be in the garden soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty table, Liz. The bird cage makes such a dramatic statement and the bird plates are perfect for the challenge. I love the San Remo flatware in white - it looks lovely on your table.
ReplyDeleteOMG sweet lady! Your bird plates are totally gorgeous, wish I had anything as close as beautiful as they are!!! The bird cage is awesome and how pretty it is too, brings the table together perfectly to meet Kathleen's challenge to perfection! Big hugs,
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Over the winter, I've grin a little large for my nest, too, so I think the bluebird looks just the right size! Wonderful elements for your tablescape...love the bird plates and the Bormioli goblets. Thanks for inviting us for a peek. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteI am smitten with those bird plates. They look like there is dimension to the pattern.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you'll share this at Seasonal Sundays.

Oh Liz, I adore this tablescape. It truly put a song in my heart. The sweet plates are just lovely.
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteThe natural sunlight streaming radiantly through the windows sets the "perfect" tone for your blue bird tablescape, dear friend! Your dinnerware is stunning!!! I love your stemware!!! What uniquely caught my eye was the softness the napkin creates at the base od the goblet. Very clever! I adore the height of your birdcage...and your blue bird looks wonderful inside!!!
Fondly,
Pat
