Seeing the sun has been very uplifting even if it's only -10 when you wake up in the morning!!
The sculpted winter landscape is pretty to look at
Shadows and fresh snow
A golden crystalline morning!
It was a tough week. Extreme cold, blowing snow, whiteouts, lots of accidents in our area. I hunkered down and stayed home.
Praying for a better week to come.

Lynn, what stunning photographs! So sorry your weather is just awful and so cold, but I do love your pictures of it all! Just glorious! For us in the deep south, it's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful and good night.
Nancy
Hi Liz,
ReplyDeleteYour snowy scene, serene and untouched, sparkles under the morning sun. Cold, trying at times, but beautiful, too.
Hope you have a sunny week.
Poppy
It really is a beautiful morning with the sun shining on the new fallen snow!
ReplyDeleteThe snow makes for some amazing photos! Hang in there, winter won't last forever!
ReplyDeleteThese are extraordinarily beautiful snow photos :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos to make a wintery day more special.
ReplyDeletePretty amazing landscape Liz! I was looking back at my snow pics from 3 weeks ago just yesterday. It is beautiful, but definitely a pain to live in. Spring will be here soon and all of that snow will melt and your beautiful garden will come alive.
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense to stay home, if one can, when the road conditions are hazardous. From the perspective of these photos, all is white beauty, Liz. Not only do you have the loveliness of light and shadow, but you've caught the sparkling crystals on the snow.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day. Thank you for adding a little sparkle to Sunlit Sunday.
Karen
So beautiful and really golden pictures!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are beautiful! I'm thankful you are safe at home. Take care and have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadows and the most beautiful and virgin snow!!! Wishing you well! Cathy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenes Liz! We had much needed rain in the wee hours of the morning
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks pretty laden in snow, Liz. I like the sun streaming through the trees making shadows on the landscape. Have a blessed week. Thanks for stopping by. Pam
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your photos of the sun, snow and shadows are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour photos really highlight the beautiful quality of fresh snow. Hoping for a better week, weatherwise!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say something like, "Yes, but it just looks so pretty!", but honestly...I am just sick to death of this winter cold and snow!!! I know it's God's work and all that, but geez....enough already!!! :-) I'm so glad you're still able to find that silver - or golden crystalline - lining in it all!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are stunning, but so glad I don't have to be out in it. Beautiful. Hope it eases up for you soon. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLiz,
ReplyDeleteIt's blowing SNOW here on the Prairie and a Robin is perched on the privacy fence looking towards the west as if to say, "Alrighty...I'm here to stay." It can't be too much longer until our daily walks at the Park. Until then, I, like you, am staying put!!!
Here's to warmer days with the promise of Spring in the week ahead, dear friend!
Fondly,
Pat
Beautiful light in the snow- something to enjoy while housebound, at least
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures... I was just admiring the sculptures in the snow that the wind was blowing this afternoon... especially when it was glittering under the sunlight... Although I wasn't admiring the wind or the cold breeze.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! I love winter snow pictures!
ReplyDeleteLiz, such nice unspoiled snow! I can see the sparkles in the snow. Good shots.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, gorgeous scenic view!! And may I say your blog post title is perfect...as are your photos...picture post card perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snowy white pictures. It is so peaceful looking. It's amazing how much snow you have and we have had temps in the 70's.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about accidents in your area; I must say I am still jealous. Your photos are breathtaking! They really make me miss the snow. Hope the winter eases soon. :)
