The weekend got off to a good start!
Yay...the sun is shining! We are deprived of the sun a little too often especially through the winter months so I get a little wound up when I see it!
I couldn't help but take a few pictures this morning.
It was -4 when we got up...brrr!
It was -4 when we got up...brrr!
The valentine's pocket bag got moved over here
My amaryllis is ready to open it's flowers....can't wait to actually see the blooms fully opened!
It's my husband's 65th birthday today and our daughter's birthday is just 4 days afterwards. She's coming home for a visit so we'll celebrate both!
I was short on time so I stopped into the bakery and saw this layered German Chocolate cake (his favorite) so I had them put the Happy Birthday on it for me.
I'm so grateful to see the sun, especially on my husband's birthday- it makes the day seem much happier!
I hope your weekend is going to be bright and cheery too!
Liz,

ReplyDeleteHow pretty! No sun here today...we're thawing out from the past couple of days. But, at least it should warm up into the upper 50's today and tomorrow. Then, it's another round of frozen precip! Wishing your hubby and daughter a Very Happy Birthday!

ReplyDeleteI am glad to see you are enjoying that Valentine pocket/bag, Liz! : ) Your home looks great with the sun shining in. As soon as I see the sun is coming out here, I open all our blinds. My husband isn't too thrilled about that, but I need to see some sunshine instead of snow all the time.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning to you Liz and Happy Birthday to your husband. Enjoy that delicious looking cake!
ReplyDeleteThe corner of your room that is bathed in sunlight is so very pretty and the mirror makes it shine even more. I'm glad you showed a closeup of the lovely Valentine pocket bag hooked on the wall sconce. I had been waiting for my amaryllis and two of the four blooms have opened. I guess patience is the key.
Karen (Sunlit Sunday)

Hooray for some natural Vitamin D up your way!!! We haven't seen ol' Mr. Sunshine for several days now, and it's starting to get to me. Maybe that's why I haven't been in the mood for creating the last few days! It's snowing to beat the band out there right now. Started around 10:30 or so and hasn't quit yet, although it's starting to slow down.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Dan and to sweet little Chelsea!!! You guys are going to be partying hard around there the next few days!!! Enjoy!!! Hey...you've got a birthday coming up in about a month-and-a-half or so, don't you? :-)
