We went away for 6 days and came home to this!
The colors came on fast and the leaves dropped quickly!
I walked around the back and took a few pictures.
It's always pretty to look at but it also means a lot of work has to be done.
We haven't had a killing frost at our home yet.
I need to give up and empty the rest of my pots and put them away for the upcoming winter months.
Even the wax begonias are still hanging on
Perhaps if it's not raining tomorrow we'll have an outdoor fire going and get some of the pots emptied.
The fountain is flooded with leaves and the water has turned brown. Time to shut it down for the season too!
The violas have revived- they like cooler weather
These Black Eyed Susan's are still blooming
Gees what a mess!
The Sweet Autumn Clematis has been blooming.
The hydrangeas are coming to their end
Time for hot chocolate and cozying up inside!
How are your gardens doing? Are you ready to put everything away for the season too?
It does look lovely. I can never enjoy dropped leaves because all I see is the amount of work involved from them. The mess here is always from neighbors trees that are forest size trees now. Your gardens still look lovely though. We haven't had a killing frost yet either but I started trimming back all my perennials and am finished now. It's just mowing and waiting for leaf drop left here to do.

Your garden looks so lovely. We did not get the beautiful fall we are use to. They say you need the perfect rain and weather for the leaves to turn their beautiful autumn colors. Ours seem to have turn brown and died on the trees this year.
ReplyDeleteLiz, what beautiful fall pictures! Your garden is wonderful! I can only imagine how much work that will be to clean up. But, it's beautiful! Lol!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I don't even want to walk outside. It's SUCH a mess. All I see is work. Yours looks so pretty!
