Welcome to Cafe Chez Lizzie Deux
Just over a year ago I produced Cafe Chez Lizzie
as you can see here in this "link"
Today's table was influenced by a floral arrangement I put together after going to the local Farmer's Market over this past Labor Day holiday weekend.
I was totally intrigued when I saw the
giant stalks of Cockscomb. My eyes zoomed in on the green Zinnias, which go great with the red Cockscomb. I
made my way back to another stand for the Sunflowers that I had my eyes
on.
Sunflowers seem to mark the end of summer's growing season. Always a welcome sight though!
Last year's table was all about red but this year it's all about blue! The tall crystal vase brings this tablescape to a more upscale level.
Williams Sonoma tablecloth (clearanced). Love that golden yellow banding on it.
A golden jacquard napkin adds a little more of the color found on the bottom of the tablecloth and from the sunflowers. A little wired chicken napkin ring pops in a little more of the French influenced theme.
The navy and white striped napkins are from Pier 1. I added a plate below with the Fleur de Lis motif and my favorite white chargers, again from Pier 1, along with a navy blue placemat below that helps stabilize the design on this large checked tablecloth.
The hint of red on the edge of the striped napkins ties in with the red in the bistro dishes. The bistro dishes are also accented with black so the use of the black napkin ring helps tie that together.
My white rooster would look good here too
don't you think?
Ok I had to give my rooster a place at the table too!
Look at this- two looks in one!
Thankful for the sunshine!
Thankful for your visit!!
I hope you enjoyed my Cafe Chez Lizzie Deux!
I'll be joining a few parties this week.
Liz, your little Cafe Chez Lizzie is so pretty. I love those flowers. They are gorgeous on your table. The napkins and the chargers are the best. So very pretty and fun too. I would be a honored guest to visit Cafe Chez Lizzie.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a pleasure to have lunch at a café this lovely, Liz. The touch of yellow makes it sing.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE this tablescape Liz! The napkins are great with the edge detail, but the sunflowers with the awesome tablecloth really make it look fabulous! Hope you are doing well.
ReplyDeleteAhh to sit at this beautiful table and relax with a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie! Love the checks, centerpiece and rooster. xo
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable table and I almost swooned, when I saw that yellow band around the tablecloth - such a perfect little detail! So enjoyed the flowers, especially the Zinnias. When my husband and I moved into our first house, the very first flowers that I planted were green Zinnias - they were called, "Envy"!!
ReplyDeleteYour sunflowers are gorgeous as your whole table. Beautiful layers of plates and I love those chargers...Christine
ReplyDeleteThe sunflowers are wonderful. I love this tablecloth and the entire tablescape.
ReplyDeleteSunflowers are some of my favorites but I like the rooster too!!! It would be hard to decide. Your table is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love your table! I really like sunflowers and this summer, especially, I just couldn't get enough of them. I used them as a centerpiece, too, recently. Your table showcases them beautifully. I love the yellow trim on the tablecloth! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGREAT table Liz! I love the cafe chez Lizzie Deux! The cloth is perfect with the place settings you put together, and the giant checks are so perfect with the large sunflowers! I know you were smiling as this came together because it is so vibrant! Your floral arrangement is stunning and the white rooster takes it all over the top!

OOOOHHH!!! I love this table!!! Love sunflowers but my favorite part is the way you partnered the napkins with the gold napkins with the striped napkins to go along with that table cloth banded in gold!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous table and bouquet!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, Liz...
Your flowers are just lovely. I have never heard of Coxcomb at least as a flower. It is gorgeous. Pretty much anything with red and yellow wins me over.
