A Tisket A Tasket A Fall Basket

Some of you may remember my basket from last year which you can see in this "link".
I pulled it out and created a new fall basket of florals, gourds, pumpkins and a cute bird!

Last year I used a grapevine swag wreath in my arrangement for the mantel.  I had turned it upside down for that arrangement and built in some other dried grasses.
This time I simply laid it in my basket and it was the foundation for this year's arrangement.

I visited JoAnn Fabrics recently and picked up a few items.  This little bird ended up fitting in nicely although it was intended for something else.

The giant acorn was also from JoAnn's....

and so was this pumpkin made of vines.

I gathered my silk flowers and used them to fill up the rest of the basket........

 gourds and berries

The nice thing about the silk and faux items are that you can reuse them in different ways each year.  There are some items in this basket that are 8 years old and some that are new!

It will reside here on the dining table.
I'm going to keep it simple I think it makes
enough of a statement by itself.

Parties I'll be joining
the folowing blog parties

  10. Hi Liz! I love the basket that you designed for your dining table. We don't have a JoAnne fabric close, although it's not that far away and I always forget to check their seasonals. Your blog is wonderful and your garden...on my gosh! Just gorgeous!
