How could I say no!

From the moment I got out of my car and spotted some potted daffodils in a shoppers cart I knew I was going to be bringing some flowers home with me

Sure enough once I was inside the grocery store I spotted a sea of flowers and my radar was locked!  A wonderful smell from all the different varieties of flowers floated right into my nose-
How could I say no!

I selected this bouquet because it was loaded with a nice variety of colors and the flowers were still tightly closed.

They're opening nice and slow
I think I'll be enjoying these all week long!

Pastels

  Vibrant colors

 Makes me happy!

The sun was in and out all day today competing with clouds ... That's okay though because I have my own interior sunshine with these babies!

I'm still working on my glass is half full approach!  I've decided to embrace this last month of winter with optimism and to enjoy it like a rose that is fading away!

  1. Apparently Nancy Reagan's JUST SAY NO campaign did not work for you. I love your flowers. I could not have said no either! I am so trying to get through this winter! xo Diana

  7. Yay for you, Liz! I love your "glass half full" attitude and the rose simile.

As for saying no to the purchase, I'm not likely to chastise you, given I came home last evening with a bunch of peachy-orange tulips! Your multi-coloured ones looks fabulous and I'm with you on getting them before they've opened. Each stage has its own beauty.

Here's to tulips at "Sunlit Sunday"; thank you for sharing them.

  15. You n-e-e-d-e-d those flowers - how could you have said, "No"? They are beautiful. I tried to find some pink ones the other day for a table I will be posting soon and could not find any in town! I guess pink was the most popular color this year. All the colors are gorgeous, though, and you scored some wonderful ones!
