Well of course you know I
can't stop fussing!!
I have issues!
I have been searching for just the
right thing for my coffee table.
The design on the sofa fabric doesn't always jive
with everything I've tried.
Recently whilst browsing around
Pier 1 and combing over every little thing they had
I spotted a metal bowl that spoke
to me!
Yes I hear things talk to me like this.. don't you?
me me me me!
I loved the airiness about it and just had to give it a try. They call it a
"Gold Patina Metal Ring Bowl"
Along with it I found a gold mercury glass flower votive
and the red ball so they had to come with me too!
I figured the red ball and candle would add a little pick up to the sofa color!
I have also been adding a little bit of chocolate coloring
to the room.
I keep playing with the arrangement. Book in the bowl.. book out of the bowl...etc...etc...etc...
One thing is for certain the bowl is not going anywhere!
I can see lots of possibilities with it!
Notice the chocolate velvet pillows too! Seems like Pier 1 has done well by me recently!
I've been searching for a while for something that had the right look for this table and sofa and I do believe
I've finally found it!
Thanks for visiting!
Liz
Oh, don't you love buying "just" what you wanted? And being in the search?
ReplyDeleteI've keeping an eye in a same-concept piece from IKEA for my kitchen. I think you just MADE Me ;) go and buy it ahahahahah
Liz, don't say chocolate and velvet pillows in the same sentence. Cuteness overload in dangerous. They seem so soft, comfy and sweet. See? Dangerous. Makes me want run to home and curl in the sofá ahahahah
I love the magazine in it. I can imagine a nice "composition" for Easter with a MS mag and some nest.
Thank you for indulging yourself and sharing!
Yours,
Teresa
We seem to be thinking alike today, Liz! I just wrote a post on coffee table displays, too! I love your new bowl and the rich colours in your vignette. And if fussing makes you happy, then it's time well spent!

Lots of things in Pier One speak to me, even the commercials address this! lol Cute bowl. My coffee table is cluttered right now, need to fix it! xo
ReplyDeleteI love Pier One! I don't shop there often since I usually want everything in the store. I would have wanted that bowl too. It does look very good with your couch and I like how you added the magazines and the red pop of colr.

The bowl and other accents look wonderful with the sofa, Liz!
ReplyDeleteLooks good Liz, I like the book in the bowl!
ReplyDeleteThat bowl is certainly an awesome find along with all your other pretty treasures. Our Pier 1 closed down a few years ago. I used to love browsing in there and never came out empty handed.
ReplyDelete"Issues" are good to have when they yield beautiful results! GREAT thinking with the red ball to pull from the sofa color!!! The bowl is really cool! I didn't see that at our local stores. I just love how you work and work and work at your decorating until you get just what you're looking for!
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, I love the bowl and your vignette is very pretty. The pillow looks great with your sofa fabric. I am a new follower.

Liz, The bowl is a winner! Love the airy look of it and you're right..lots of possibilities for year round looks. I haven't been to Pier 1 in a while. I need to check them out. Love the cozy chocolate velvet pillows, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice on the bowl...it lends to many great change-ups/possibilities...you really did a wonderful job of adding the right color to the table...Pier One has certainly done well for you!
ReplyDeleteHi Liz! Oh, it looks like we've been doing the same thing! Messing with our coffee tables. Love your new bowl and new pillows. You always make lovely vignettes.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
The bowl works great on your table, Liz! And, I love how the chocolate pillows look with your sofa. I think the bowl works well because it's not competing with the pattern in your furniture. I think you'll have a lot of fun coming up with different things to put in it throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteI love that metal bowl! I'm so tempted to see if Pier 1 still has them :) I found your site via the post you made on decorchick. Love your site!
