I am always awestruck at the beauty after a storm.
When we get hit with our winter storms we live in a dome like atmosphere for a while. The skies are gray and the snow falls relentlessly at times.
It's such a joy to see the sun! I never tire of it!
Nature has a way of creating
such beauty
Rays of sun stream through the trees
I'm trying to be the person that says their glass is half full not half empty!
Each day that passes gets me closer to spring- that's my positive way of
looking at it!
I'm counting the days until spring!
Looking forward to seeing my gardens again!

I'm feeling the chill of your beautiful snow just sitting here looking at the photos! We don't get much snow but it is exciting when we do get some. I like your positive attitude about spring. Have a great Sunday, Liz! Shannon
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are lovely with their shadows on the snow and the light peaking through the trees. So peaceful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love your area, Liz, and you know I am neither a winter nor snow lover. I enjoy seeing it in photos though. You have the right attitude. I am making a really big effort not to wish the time away this season. It is too precious. xo
ReplyDeleteLiz, it's so nice that you're back to participate in "Sunlit Sunday" this year. I know what you mean about the "glass half full"; I remind myself of that and am trying to remember to enjoy each season. Your pictures really do show the beauty of winter with all the white snow and the play of light in the sky!

This is a HUGE change from all the beautiful landscaping from this past spring and summer, but it has its own beauty about it. I wouldn't want to have to drive in it or shovel it, but it's gorgeous to look at from the cozy comfort of a window with a cup of hot chocolate in hand!!! Ours is melting back in KC. Down here in Pittsburg, they barely got any!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty snow photos Liz. Love the last one. I'm also counting the months until spring weather which will be almost 5 months for us here in eastern Canada. But, there is so much beauty in winter too. Pamela
ReplyDeleteMe! Too! Liz! I get through the winter by reminding myself that it is not all that long until Spring. I am just not a "snow girl". It is pretty but I don't want to be out in it! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful, Liz! Reminds me of when we lived in Wisconsin. After about 6 months of snow, though, I couldn't wait for Spring. It's pretty to look at; but, when the gray clouds stick around; and you're stuck in the house...it's like, "Bring on Spring"...lol!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much beauty to enjoy in nature and in your photos.
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteThe sun always makes the snow beautiful. I'm visiting from Sunlit Sunday.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful but I have to admit that i am happy I only see it in pictures! Give me hot and humid any day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery Liz, but I am with you on being ready for Spring!
ReplyDeleteWe had snow this past week. I like the way everything looks but I did miss the sun and good have gone without all the black ice that comes with it. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and I am ready for spring also and we haven't even had very much snow this year... Hoping that it doesn't come :)
ReplyDeleteHow I wish I was enjoying such gorgeous winter wonderland! I know mom doesn't wanna...but me, I miss snow this time of year, ALWAYS!! I did take my giirls a couple of times to C'mas in NYC when my parent's lived there and they just loved it! Thank you for sharing this beautiful images with me..specially. Have a great week and thank you dear Liz for your sweet visit.

Liz, beautiful pictures! I haven't seen snow in so many years, since we lived in Colorado. It is nice to live in a place where you get the four seasons. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous snowy photos Liz. We used to have snow like this and ice storms. It doesn't happen so much nowadays. Maybe it will cycle around again.
ReplyDeleteWe're so funny! I'm like the old Druids or something and love the solstice because the days start getting longer again! Haha! Winter can drag on so long, but you do have such beauty in the snow! Thanks for sharing. It's so dreary and brown here. Lots of sun tho!
ReplyDeleteLovely snow pics Liz! I'm still hoping we will get at least one snow storm this month. We've noticed it's staying a lighter a little later in the evening here, which makes me happy.Starting to think about our Spring garden already.
ReplyDeleteJust rain here, and I think a nice snowfall would be most welcome, if only for the beauty of it!
ReplyDeletebeautiful shots. My world looked like that two weeks ago. Now most of it melted and now it is dirty and slippery. :(
