In keeping with my traditional roots I've set the kitchen table
with a classic red plaid tablecloth.
I used a mini Poinsettia with some ornaments tossed around in my green metal lantern.
The little white Santa boots, spiral red glasses and striped dishes were from Pier 1 last year.
The red 'Tis the Season plates were from T.J. Maxx- also from last year.
The lantern removes easily for dining.
A mini boxwood candle wreath was set below the lantern for added fullness.
I found the poinsettia at the grocery store. It came with this ornament shaped base.
It has sparkly spray on it but it doesn't show up in the pictures.
Winter has arrived
I hope to do this for Christmas morning but
there will be 5 so we'll squeeze a little closer!

I'm thrilled to no end that both my kids and my dear daughter in-law
will be home for Christmas this year!
I'm taking the rest of the season off and won't be posting again until after the New Year.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas
full of peace, joy and love!

ReplyDeleteLiz- It looks so very beautiful. There is just something comforting about traditional Christmas, isn't there? You did a wonderful job and I really love what you did with your light fixture. It looks gorgeous. Blessings to you- xo Diana

Love the red!!! Everything looks so festive and beautiful!!! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteSo winter has hit you big time, huh? The snow looks pretty in the background. I would hate to have to drive in it!!! I am sitting under the hair dryer at the salon right now after driving at a snail's pace to keep my appointment. We got a LOT of ice last night with snow on top. The streets are treacherous. I plan to get my hips back home before it gets dark. I DEFINITELY don't want to drive in the dark with this much snow and ice!!! Your table is beautiful! Not that I would ever expect anything different from you, of course! I love the plates and the centerpiece is great. I'm especially impressed that it looks so good but can be so easily moved when the meal begins. That's important! I think the table will look just as cool with 5 as with 4. You know I like FULL tables. Heck...we could eat on TOP of each other as far as I'm concerned!!! :-) Gorgeous, love! OK...gotta go. She's gonna whack half my hair off now! Talk to you soon!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Liz!
