In honor of my father who served in
World War II
and all Veterans
Thank-you
for your service and commitment
for all of us.

This is not a picture of him, but it is from
the archives of the China-Burma-India
Theater also known as the "The Hump"
He was stationed in India when the
war ended.
We also received our first official snow
overnight. It will be melted by this
afternoon (thank goodness!)
Hope you have a great weekend!
I will be spending part of mine
putting away my garden pottery
and removing this display
before it turns into mush!

ReplyDeleteMy Dad too is a WW11 veteran. He served in the Phillipines on a Navy ship. We have much to be proud of!
We got the same amount of snow here

Dear Liz, you must be so proud of your dear dad who served his country in the best way, which is serving on a war to defend it. Thank you for sharing sweet lady. Have a nice weekend. FABBY
ReplyDeleteMy dad is also a WWII vet - Army, as well as several uncles. All now in Heaven...but we need to honor them and those that fight for us today. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome Dad!!! He looks so spiffy in his uniform! My Dad was injured in an accident near the farm that rendered him unable to serve, but I have lots of uncles and cousins who have proudly served our country. My hubby is a veteran of the Air Force who served as a medic during the time of the Vietnam War. Hats off to all of our servicemen and women, and kudos to you for this sweet post!
ReplyDeleteLiz, that's a beautiful tribute to your Dad and all others who have served our country. I hope you have a wonderful week-end. We are going to dinner with friends. Hugs, Linda
